Twenty-five years ago, a radical idea was born: a free, collaborative encyclopedia written by volunteers, for humanity. Today, Wikipedia is a global beacon of shared knowledge. Here at Hausa Wikimedians UserGroup and the general Hausa Wikimedians community, we didn’t just watch this historic milestone pass by; we celebrated it by organizing writing contest to make its Hausa edition even better.

Now we are proud to announce the successful conclusion of the Wikipedia@25 Writing Contest (Gasar Wikipedia25).

Contest Winners

These Wikimedians are outstanding participants of the contest and deserve a big applause. Each of them created more than 1,500 Wikipedia articles and also scored more than 90 accumulated points out of 100 that measures not only prolificacy but depth, quality and structure.

Honorable Mention

Apart from the first top three participants, each of these participants created more than 1,000 Wikipedia articles during the contest; and deserve a honorable mention.

Commendation

We appreciate everyone who participated in this contest or helped in anyway to make it possible. However, these participants deserve a mention here too. They each scored substantial accumulated points and created hundreds of high quality articles.
